New from A & D Weighing Instrinsically Safe Compact Balances he new A & D EK-AEP series of intrinsically safe balances are Factory Mutual approved for US and Canada. Compact, lightweight and extremely affordable while providing excellent explosion protection. These units operate using four AA batteries for up to 200 hours. An external power supply in a safe area is not required. Auto Power off functions saves battery power.
Note: The EK-AEP series shall only be used with four Energizer AA E91 alkaline LR6, AM3 or Duracell AA alkaline MN1500, LR6 or Panasonic AA Alkaline LR6(X) 1.5v batteries.
The EK-AEP is also equipped with an optical connector form which it can output weighing results to a device in a distant safe areas via optical fiber cable and an optical communications adapter.
